Their sound has influenced the music of three generations, selling more than 70 million albums worldwide along the way. Famous titles such as “Celebration,” “Cherish,” “Jungle Boogie,” “Summer Madness” and “Open Sesame” garnered two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits, nine Top Ten pop hits, and 31 Gold and Platinum albums. With more than 30 years of air time, this group has convincingly demonstrated its unique staying power.

Kool & The Gang’s signature hits have provided a rich foundation for lyrical artists and, with their commitment to touring, Kool keeps the fan base hot for that great Kool & the Gang sound. The group tours often outside the United States and was, in fact, the first African American band to perform in Taiwan.

In the mid 90’s, the taste for nostalgia boosted interested in Kool & the Gang from Main Street to Hollywood and Vine. The multi-platinum soundtrack for the cult hit, “Pulp Fiction” featured “Jungle Boogie,” and other classics like “Ladies Night,” “Hollywood Swinging” and many more enjoyed a second iteration of fame as they were sampled by Mase, Puff Daddy, Coolio and Will Smith.
